Hyper Japan July 2016 Video

UPDATE: This is about Hyper Japan in 2016. See up to date posts here…

Hyper Japan July 2016

Thank you so much to everyone who came along to Hyper Japan July 2016! The show was at London Olympia on 15-17 July 2016, and Hyper Japan is the UK’s largest event about Japanese culture.

It was so busy on our booth, and in fact it was our best show ever! A huge thank you to everyone who supported Cakes with Faces – it was amazing meeting you all. It really does mean a lot, and Cakes with Faces wouldn’t exist without people like you. And thank you so much for my awesome drawings and gifts!

New Designs at Hyper Japan

The new designs were really popular and sold out! The new t-shirts Mehmaid and Hamsters in Teacups have just gone up for pre-order at a special price, so you can get yours as soon as they’re back in stock. There was also a sample of the new Shark Attack dress on display, which will also be available for pre-order online very soon.

Hyper Japan Video

Watch my video above to see what it was like at Hyper Japan, or relive your memories if you were there! I’d love to hear from you in the comments on YouTube, and find out what was your highlight of the weekend?

There was so much kawaii Harajuku fashion, yummy Japanese food and amazing stage performances from Charisma.com and Broken Doll. I saw Beckii Cruel performing the Domobics and met Domo on the NHK World booth (check out the pancake hat – it was really heavy!).

Coming up on YouTube

Stay tuned for more videos about Japan – and if you haven’t already, hit subscribe to support my channel. Next up is a mini interview with Japanese pop-punk band Broken Doll, and some of their performances from Hyper Japan. They were so good there was too much to include in the main video! And there’ll be more videos from Japan later this year, as well as more of my series All the Best Stuff is from Japan!
