Greetings from Alpacapulco
One last summery drawing for you, before the summer’s over! I was supposed to be designing Christmas cards today, but it was way too hot and sunny for that.
“Going loco, down in Alpacapulco…” I’ve now ruined that song for myself, and can’t think of the normal, non-alpaca version!
It’s holiday time for this alpaca, who’s sipping on a fruity cocktail and enjoying the tropical heat in Acapulco. It was fun to make him into a vintage style postcard. I took inspiration from retro Hawaiian postcards, with a palette of blue and warm orange colours, cheesy typography and a vintage sunburst background.
