MCM Expo Birmingham Floorplan

It’s almost time for my next event – MCM Expo at the NEC in Birmingham on 16-17 March! It feels like ages since I’ve done a show so I’m really looking forward to it. Cakes with Faces has been to the MCM comic cons in London several times and Manchester, but this is my first time at the Birmingham show, which is twinned with Memorabilia. I’m a midlandser (although I come from the south really) so it’s a local show for me!

I’ll be in the section where MCM Expo joins onto Memorabilia. I’ve drawn a floorplan below to show where to find our stall – the official programme isn’t out just yet so the layout may change slightly.

I’ll be there with all my t-shirts, prints, badges, my sushi comics, the new chopping boards and another special surprise that will be coming out in the next day or two… I’ll be giving out stickers and taking photos, so come along and say hi!

There’ll also be a cosplay masquerade, Robots Live, the Comic Village, a live stage programme, videogames, Dance Dance Revolution and special guests – including Steffan Rhodri, who does the voice for Drippy in NiNoKuni (and is also Dave from Gavin and Stacey!). Memorabilia is all about collectables from film and TV, and there’s a huge list of famous guests who’ll be signing autographs (not included in the entry ticket).

The comic con’s on for two days, Saturday and Sunday. General entry is 11am-5pm each day, or if you buy your ticket in advance you get early entry from 9am on Saturday and 10am on Sunday. You can buy tickets online here. General entry tickets cost less but are available on the door only.

And if you can’t make it, look out for my photos on Facebook!
