Thank you to everyone who came to see us at MCM Expo Manchester Comic Con, especially everyone who queued in the rain on Saturday – you are dedicated geeks and cosplayers indeed!
MCM Comic Con is a great show for anyone who likes geeky things – anime, manga, games, cosplay and comics. You can watch panels, get autographs from actors from films and TV, take photos of cosplayers, eat as much Pocky as you can find and get your hands on all kinds of cute and nerdy stuff.
It was the first time the Manchester comic con had been held over two days, and our first time staying in Manchester. We unpacked on Friday evening then enjoyed a bowl of ramen and an evening stroll around Salford Quays.
Our new Cute but Deadly babygrow made it’s debut – featuring our bright pink tentacle monster. The babygrows got a lot of attention over the weekend, and we sold out of How to Make Sushi comics. The most popular t-shirt was our newest design: Great Iced Shark (you can’t underestimate how many people like sharks!).
We saw lots of great cosplays (even though some got rained on on Saturday…) and Phil played the new Borderlands game. We also picked up some cute Donutella mini plush blind boxes from the Forbidden Planet stall – Tokidoki is my absolute favourite and it’s not often you see the mini plush series in the shops.
You can see all our photos on our Facebook page – lots more of our stand, the con, cosplays and video games.
Next up is Hyper Japan next weekend – it’s certainly been a busy month!
