MCM London Comic Con May 2017

MCM London Comic Con May 2017

Visit Cakes with Faces at MCM London Comic Con May 2017! It’s at ExCel London on 26-28 May 2017. This time also marks the 15th anniversary of the show!

Stalls at MCM London Comic Con

At MCM Expo there are all kinds of geeky and nerdy stalls, with film and TV merch, games, comics, anime and manga goods, Japanese sweets, kawaii plushies and all kinds of cute stuff. There’s also the Comic Village, with independent, self-publishing artists, which is where Cakes with Faces first started out back in 2011. In the Pop Asia section there are also a few Japanese food stalls (I know where I’m going for lunch…).

Catch panels and talks on the stages and see literally hundreds of cosplayers just walking around. There’s a great atmosphere at Comic Con and it really is a colourful place unlike anywhere else, where everyone’s free to be themselves. Lose yourself in nerdy fandoms, take pictures, hang out and enjoy a day away from the real world!

Where to Find Cakes with Faces

We’ll be in the South Hall on stand BB3, next to the Pop Asia section, opposite the Japanese food stalls!

If you’re coming to see us, make a note of where it is! Comic con is big and confusing, and it’s so easy to miss out whole sections. There’s always someone who messages me afterwards saying they couldn’t find the stall, so remember to print out the floorplan and make a note.

The floor plan is with full listings is in the official show guide.

MCM London Comic Con May 2017 Floor Plan

Tickets

Buying your tickets in advance is highly recommended. Some ticket types will sell out (last time weekend tickets sold out really early, and Saturday tickets usually disappear too). Queues can be very long to buy them on the day.

You can choose from priority tickets, which get you in a little earlier, or general entry. Day tickets are available and weekend tickets for the whole show.

All tickets are available from the MCM website.

I recommend going on Friday if you can; all the stalls are open and it’s always quieter than the weekend (you’ll still see plenty of cosplayers). Saturday is always the busiest and most crowded day, especially around lunchtime.

Opening Times:

  • Friday:
    Priority entry 10am – 7pm
    General entry 12-7pm
  • Saturday:
    Priority entry 9am – 6pm
    General entry 11am – 6pm
  • Sunday:
    Priority entry 9:30am – 5pm
    General entry 11am – 5pm
