Cakes with Faces is proud to be supporting Small Business Saturday, an initiative to encourage support for independent small businesses. On Saturday 7th December they’re encouraging people to do their Christmas shopping at small businesses and eat at local restaurants instead of large international chains.
The day began in the USA and is being held in the UK for the first time this year. It’s supported by MPs and larger businesses like American Express – you might have seen their TV advert.
Cakes with Faces was featured by Small Business Saturday as part of #SmallBizSat100, a collection of 100 small businesses, one a day in the run up to Saturday 7th December. Here I am on their Facebook page…

Small businesses bring variety and personality that larger chains sometimes lack, and there’s nothing like receiving personal service from someone who really cares. It’s such a shame when you travel to another town or city and find the same chain stores everywhere.
I’m really happy to be part of the initiative, and hope that you’ll support Cakes with Faces and other independent designers and shops when you do your Christmas shopping this year, both online and in your local town!
