Genki Sushi & Purikura
I love sushi, and Genki Sushi in Shibuya, Tokyo, is a really fun (and cheap) conveyor belt sushi restaurant. Watch a video to see how futuristic it is, and see the sushi we had. There are several vegetarian sushi options, as well as lots of fish, and some unusual menu items too!
Sorry about the flickering lights in the video – my other vlogs are better quality than this one!
The video includes:
- Vlog about our meal at Genki Sushi in Shibuya
- An awesome band we saw playing near Hachiko Square
- Purikura fun in the Shinjuku arcades (our photo looked hilarious!)
If you’re visiting Tokyo, I’d definitely recommend eating at Genki Sushi – details of how to find it are on their website. It’s really easy to order if you don’t speak Japanese, because you can change the language on the touch screens to English, and as you can see in the video, it’s not expensive at all!
Remember to subscribe to Cakes with Faces on YouTube for lots more from Tokyo!
Make Sushi at Home
If you love eating sushi, why not learn to make it at home? My How to Make Sushi comic book includes all the instructions you need to make sushi rolls, nigiri, edamame and gyoza at home. And because it’s a comic book, it’s really easy to follow.
I make sushi every time we have a free weekend, and it’s a great way to spend time with friends. It’s not difficult once you’ve got the hang of it, and you’ll save so much money compared to going to restaurants every time you have a sushi craving. The book includes lots of vegetarian sushi (I don’t eat fish at all) as well as fish options.
The comic book’s available from the online shop here (worldwide delivery) – it also makes a great gift!
