Fresh Wasabi Video

We tried fresh wasabi for the first time – watch our video to find out where to buy fresh wasabi in the UK, how to prepare it, and most importantly how it tastes with sushi!

Fresh Wasabi vs Fake Wasabi

We love Japanese food and make sushi at home most weekends. Recently I discovered that most wasabi paste doesn’t contain any real wasabi. It’s a mix of horseradish, mustard and food colouring – find out more about this in episode 5 of All the Best Stuff is from Japan. So of course I wanted to try sthe real stuff! I found a company that grows wasabi in the UK called The Wasabi Company, who sell fresh rhizomes online.
